6th Bead Soup Blog Party Reveal

This is my second time participating in this worldwide event. 400 jewelry designers are participating this time and you can find all the participating blogs here:

I am very happy to be part of this event and I want to thank Lori Anderson from http://www.prettythingsblog.com/ for the huge workload she put into organizing this event!

I was partnered with Leah Curtis and she sent me a wonderful bead soup with gorgeous ceramic beads, a charming sterling silver clasp she made herself and lots of other goodies, among which a beautiful beaded bead which was immediately snatched by my daughter.

I have made three necklaces:

The first one is a large bronze necklace. The bronze parts are from my own stash and everything else from the bead soup. I have used the ceramic focal, the ceramic beads and 2 of the ivory colored vintage beads as well as the silk. It was my first time using both silk and ceramic components and I am thrilled at the result.

The second necklace is made with the wonderful green crystal beads Leah sent me. Just the right color for this soldered pendant from my religious art series. To balance the dainty crystals, I added silver links and a clasp I made.

The third and last necklace was the most difficult to make. I love the silver clasp Leah made herself and wanted to showcase it, not simply hanging on the back of a necklace.
Here is is, paired with one of my handmade lampwork beads and a necklace made of hammered silver links, made to match the clasp.

I hope you enjoy the blog hop and would love to read a few comments ;-)

to see much better pictures of all the soup ingredients.
I am already very curious to see what she will do with it ;-)

My bead soup arrived!

Here is the wonderful bead soup I got from Leah Curtis from

I especially love the ceramic focal and the ceramic beads as I have never worked with those. My daugher has already set eye on the beaded bead. The silk will be a challenge too. Have you noticed the wonderful handpainted aquarelle card she included? So beautiful!!
So stay tuned for the reveal and the blog hop which will take place on the 28th of July.
