Rough and tumbled beads

A new take on one of my favorite techniques. These beads have been tumbled to get a matte look and then finished to give them a rather antique look, rougher and with a few pitts.

Etsy shop changes

A few days ago, I was shopping on etsy for czech faceted glass beads to use in my rosaries. Many shops had their beads not listed per size or finish but by color!
I really liked this and decided to give it a try for my lampwork beads shop too.
So I spend an entire evening testing categories and rearranging the beads.

Silvered Ivory Bands

I have been making this design and some slight variations: round and nuggets, matte and glossy, large and small, for more than 8 years now, and still I always come back to this classic yet versatile design.

The first set , in classic ivory has been tumbler etched and has a nice earthy touch to it.

 I love tumbling the beads, as there are no dangerous chemicals involved.

Flower Power Bambi

Colourful start into the weekend

 

Yesterday, I had a very colourful torch session.
Finally spring has arrived around here, the most beautiful weather and warm temperatures, the first daffodils are showing their amazing yellow heads and I was in spring mood too when choosing my colors for the day:-)
This set has a mixture of rondelles, nuggets and regular shaped lampwork beads, all in daffodil colors.
